The rainy day

The untimely rain steals the sun and makes the whole day as gloomy,

And nature mother cries for being separated from her children during the longer time of the day.

The rainfall fills the empty ponds, canals, valleys and rivers making them as brimful as  youths ,

And frogs and cat fish surface in the rainwater of paddy fields showing their happy faces.

The cow boys herd the flock of cattle and sheep getting wet and singing songs in their naked voices ,

And the romantic frogs and firefly follow the rhythm of rain and orchestrate the symphony of  their singing songs.

The rain stops not the whole day and night making many confined at homes,

And day nears the night and sees off the commotion of lives closing the day’s all the windows and doors.

The poet remains busy to write poems describing the beauties of wet eyes of his lover as rainy day,

And his mind becomes  sad imagining  the face of nature mother as  lover's face looking as weighty,

And the moon and twinkling stars become sad remaining behind the curtain of cloudy sky.

The poet's time passes lonely and sad as his lover is dreaming no sweet dreams,

For, his mind strolls alone thinking his lover's face  as gloomy as lonely flowing stream.
